Weekend before Christmas

Emma's Christmas party at school was on Friday.  The party was done with a pioneer theme to go along with their learning.  They did quill writing, candle making, and Mrs. Kleman read a Christmas story about Laura Ingalls.  Allie got to go to the party which she loved!  She loves Mrs. Kleman (she knows her from going to the Dublin pool in the summer)!

Saturday was a day of baking cookies.  The girls especially like making and decorating cut-out cookies.

And, on Sunday, our family lit the fourth candle in the Advent wreath.  Emma read the scripture (which was a full page long!) and did a FABULOUS job!  We were so proud of her, and proud of Allie for smiling and looking cute :)

It's been a busy weekend of pre-Christmas fun, with lots more to come!

  3. We're enjoying your Christmas card! Can't get over how the Friend Family is growing up! It's such a joy to watch - even from this distance. You all do know our door is always open to you. Would love to see you on Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau - before too long. Merry Christmas - love you all.

(FYI: got in a hurry and made some mistakes, so erased and resent...)
