A Birthday wish...

A couple of months before Allie was born, Celia Betz blessed the world with her life!  A beautiful little girl with red ringlets, she was a blessing to all!  Unfortunately, Celia was born with Batten Disease.  Batten Disease is a fatal disease and unfortunately, Celia is not expected to grow into adulthood.  A birthday wish for us, as we look at our beautiful Allie, who blessed our world and continues to bless us....is to pray for Celia, for her family and all those who love her.  June 5th and 6th are National Batten Disease Awareness days.  As you think of Allie on her birthday, please also think of Celia and do something, even if it's just to mention this to someone else you know....to help spread the word for Batten Disease in the hopes that someday there will be a cure.  Until then, Celia, we keep you close in our hearts with love!  We only wish you and Allie could run and play and laugh together!
