Today, Emma participated in her first race...a race for charity. Emma ran in a Kids Fun Run at the Race for Ellie (www.raceforellie.org), with her friend, Abigail. Becki, Abigail's mom is a marathon runner...and Emma likes to run, so Becki is getting her more into running races. The girls did the fun run, and then we watched Becki run the 5K. The park where they held the race for Ellie also had a cool playground like the playground by Mom & Dad in Newark....it's a playground that is "friendly" for kids with disabilities too - they all loved playing at the playground and just didn't want to leave. We are very proud of Emma for running, and running for such a good cause! Maybe someday there will be races for our friends who have life-threatening diseases: Celia & Brett!
