Churchill Downs

On our drive down to Tennessee, we saw signs on the highway for Churchill Downs. We were about halfway, and needed a stretch but it was too early for lunch, so we decided to stop and show the girls the place where the Derby is run.
Growing up in Kentucky, horses, horse racing, and especially the Kentucky Derby were always a big deal! Even after growing up and moving out of state, the Derby still remains an annual tradition in our family. I know I went there as a child, but I don't remember it.....so it was really amazing for me to see it as well! I'm so glad we stopped - it was definitely worth it!!!!
