Koala Lou

Reading is something that we all enjoy! We read for fun, and we read especially at bed time. Aunt Erin has always loved books! From the day Emma was born, Aunt Erin always got books for every "celebration" (birthdays, Christmas, just because, etc.). She continued this with Allie, of course! One of the books that Aunt Erin bought Emma "just because" is Koala Lou by Mem Fox. Aunt Erin loves Mem Fox! Emma always liked Koala Lou when she was younger and we read picture books at bedtime...now, she's too big for those and prefers chapter books! Allie has taken over the picture books and Koala Lou has become a staple to read at bedtime every night! On Mother's Day, we walked into the Starbucks close to church for breakfast (my choice, of course)....and Allie points to a framed photo hanging on the wall and shouts "It's Koala Lou!" It took our breath away that she made that association. So, of course, Daddy thought the girls had to have this picture since they both love Koala Lou so much! He contacted the photographer and was able to secure a print of the picture and we are anxious to frame it and hang it in the girls' bedroom....but until then....here's our two book lovers, just after bath, ready to read Koala Lou and look at their new picture!
