Emma has wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant ever since she studied China in school. We surprised her when we picked her up for school today and told her we were taking her out to eat at a Chinese restaurant with Nana and Papa! She couldn't wait to use the chopsticks! She loves "Chinese Chicken" (which is really sweet and sour chicken without the sauce) and white rice. She also tried a spring roll and a dumpling from won ton soup, but wasn't sold on those, she did like the fortune cookies, though! She was pretty successful eating with the chopsticks, but she said they were hard to use...she was a trooper and she ate her whole meal with them! While we waited for Papa to arrive, Emma pointed out some things in the restaurant that she knew like bamboo, and a phoenix and showed off some of the Chinese words she's learned: Ni hao, er, son, yi, ye ye, and more that I can't spell. She really enjoyed her Chinese restaurant experience.
